BWS Liquor is running a #LocalLuvva campaign, where fans get to vote for their favourite local and independent brands.
The winners in each state score a HUGE prize...their products get ranged in more BWS stores, they have the option to have more products on the shelves and they get heaps of in-store promotions and features.
It's kind of a big deal.
For us, we are currently ranged in about twenty of the BWS stores. This means, there are about 1180 BWS stores that don't currently stock Cheeky Tiki Cider!
The twenty stores that do range our ciders, only have stock of our Dry Apple Cider and our Sweet Apple Cider. This means, there is potential to range our Orange and Ginger Cider, our Passionfruit Cider and who knows what else!
Getting products on the shelf is awesome, but then how do you actually convert that into sales? We think the in-store promotion component of this prize pack is definitely the most valuable. It's the money-can't-buy exposure that makes this campaign so huge.
So, how does it all work?
Well, basically, it's a popularity contest. You simply go to the BWS website, set your store location, and vote! At the end of the campaign, the most popular Beer/Cider, Wine and Spirit in each state is crowned the winner. Easy! Voting closes on October 3rd, with the winners announced a week or so after that.
Being a cider producer in regional Queensland (in Rum City, no less!) is bloody hard at the best of times, but when we are in the same category as all the fancy craft breweries in Brisbane/Gold Coast/Sunshine Coast it makes this campaign even harder.
I'm so pleased to say though, we are currently SECOND in the Beer/Cider category!!!
This could change at any minute though, so if you could please vote for Cheeky Tiki Cider it could mean huge things for our little business.
